How to care for your Dried Flower Bouquets

Dried flower bouquets have become super popular in the past few years due to their long-lasting beauty and versatility. They are perfect for home decor gifts, weddings, and special occasions. However, caring for dried flower bouquets requires a different approach than caring for fresh flowers. Here are some tips on how to care for dried flower bouquets to ensure they last as long as possible.

  1. Keep out of direct sunlight

Direct sunlight can cause the colors of the dried flowers to fade quickly. It's best to keep the bouquet out of direct sunlight, preferably in a shady spot. They look great on window sills but as long as you're aware they will fade and look duller then when you first brought them.

  1. Keep them away from humidity

Dried flowers are sensitive to humidity, so it's important to keep them away from humid environments. Such as bathrooms, as they are usually more humid than other areas of the house, so it's best to avoid placing your dried flower bouquet in these areas.

  1. Dust them regularly

Just like any other decor item in your house, dried flowers can collect dust over time. Use a soft-bristled brush or a feather duster to gently remove any dust from the petals and leaves of the dried flowers.

  1. Avoid touching the petals and leaves

Dried flowers are soooo fragile and can easily break or lose their shape if mishandled. It's best to avoid touching the petals and leaves as much as possible. Try not to move around the bunch too much as this could also damage the stems.

  1. Store them in a cool, dry place

If you need to store your dried flower bouquet, make sure to do so in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. A closet or a cupboard would be ideal.

  1. Use hairspray & a hairdryer for your pampas stems

If you have pampas stems in your bouquet, they may arrive much smaller than what you expect. All they need is a good hair dry which will help fluff the stems & then hairspray to set the pampas.

Caring for some dried flower bouquets requires a little extra effort, but it's well worth it to preserve their beauty for as long as possible. With these tips, you can enjoy your dried flower bouquet for years to come.
